Custom ROM KITKAT Update by SOKKIE for Lenovo A390 Screen Caps

I just upgraded my Lenovo phone to this ROM from SOKKIE. Thanks for newly customized look. I like it. If you have a Lenovo A390 and you want to try this ROM you can find it here. OR if you want to see the compiled list of all the ROMs, you can see it from here.

EDIT: What you are seeing is the theme from 360 Launcher stock version. It's made from a Chinese company so some widgets or addons are in Chinese.

 

 

How To Root Lenovo A390

I'll make it as simple and as straightforward as possible. Here goes.

First of all, you need to make sure all your important things are in the phone are completely backed up.

To do that, you can use Helium to do backup (non-rooted). Click here.

If you plan to backup to the PC, make sure you install the desktop version of Helium. Click here. You can choose which OS you are using now.
1. In the app on your phone, choose {Settings} and click on {PC Download}.
2. Make sure that the Helium Server is ON and that you can see the IP Address. E.g.:{192.168.1.20:5000}
3. Copy the IP Address to your browser URL and click Enter. Make sure both your PC and Phone is connected to the Internet. (Phone is on Wifi usually)
4. From there on, you can either make a backup of your App Data or all your Apps.

Now, to the main thing.

The most easiest way to root your phone is to use this method.

Using Framaroot is one of the easiest way to root your phone. You can find it here. I think any phone will be able to be rooted.

Download the apk file to your phone or to your PC and copy it later to your external/internal card and Install. I used version 1.6.1 since I just tried it a while ago.

If you fail to follow correctly and can't seem to get your phone rooted, then try a different method and ask Google.
